Norman Lee Named Vice President Of Marketing For Atlas Space Operations

Brings 30 Years Of International Experience To The Position

Atlas Space Operations has named Norman Lee as the vice president of Marketing. Lee brings to Atlas a 30-year track-record of success including a decade of executive level leadership experience at Hagerty in the areas of marketing, sales, business development, client engagement, and operations.

Previously, Lee held managerial positions at Ford Motor Company, and Jaguar Land Rover NA with an emphasis on global marketing, regional market operations, sales, distribution, and franchising. He also has international work experience in Belgium and Taiwan. In these roles, he developed strong leadership and managerial skills while mastering the art of marketing strategy and execution.

"Atlas saw significant growth recently both in capability and sales, and as a company.” Said Sean McDaniel, CEO and Founder of Atlas. "2018 was a remarkable year for us. With the introduction of Atlas' revolutionary technology solutions and continued expansion of our global antenna network, it’s the perfect time to bring in Norm to amplify awareness and position our brand as a growing leader in the ground-to-satellite communication industry.”

"As Atlas continues this path of quantum growth, executing a strategic and comprehensive marketing and communication plan that supports the company's business plan is paramount." said Lee.

“Overall, Atlas is experiencing great success across the industry, especially with the U.S. government. And, with the increasing demand from the private sector for constellation management, there is much more growth ahead. I have no doubt that Norm will keenly tune us to the demand of our customers and shape our product to market demands,” said Mike Carey, CSO and Founder.

Lee holds an MBA from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Michigan. Lee and his wife and their three daughters have lived in Traverse City for 10-years. Lee is active in the community serving as Advisory Board to Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools, and as an Executive Board Member at United Way of Northwest Michigan.
