Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"I am excited to lead the Air Force Association and absolutely dedicated to supporting AFA's mission of promoting a dominant Air Force and a strong national defense. General Spencer has made a terrific positive impact on AFA and I cannot thank him enough for all he has done to lead AFA. I look forward to building upon General Spencer's leadership and our entire Air Force Association's recent achievements and heritage."

Source: Lt Gen Bruce Wright, USAF (Ret.), commenting on the Air Force Association (AFA) Board of Directors announcement of his appointment as their new president beginning March 1, 2019. Wright will direct the association's professional staff and be responsible for the management and operations of the association, which include professional development events across the country, advocacy initiatives on Capitol Hill, and national and international aerospace education programs. He will also serve as publisher of Air Force Magazine, the official journal of the association. The Air Force Association was established in 1946 and currently has more than 99,000 members around the world.
