Partenair Announces Third Model

Retractable, Shorter Wing, 250hp -- Oh, Baby

Partenair Design Inc. is pleased to announce that it has started work on the S45 Mark III RG. This retractable gear version of the S45 Mystere will be the third model of the Mystere in the company’s model line.

The original S45 Mystere is best suited for high RPM auto conversion engines. The S45 Mark II aircraft (right) is based on the original S45 but incorporates a few changes. The engine was raised four inches to allow for a larger diameter propeller, 70 inches. The attractive curves of the original design are retained with the new cowling arrangement. Performance was improved while retaining its stable flight characteristics. There is virtually no change in pitch tendency with changes in power settings. The S45 Mark II has the Lycoming O-320 installed.

Newest iteration is a speed demon's delight:

The new S45 Mark III RG will feature a retractable landing gear, a shorter wing span, and provision for engines up to 250hp. With the advent of the S45 Mark III RG, the aircraft will not only look like a hot rod but will perform like one. Partenair has a launch customer for this design and expects to have the first flight in 2004.

Another important event for Partenair in July 2003 was the release of its much-anticipated S45 video. This entertaining sales video is getting rave reviews and high marks from viewers.

At Oshkosh, for the first time ever, the Partenair booth design will feature all three kits using work in progress from current customers. Enthusiasts will be able to see a Starter Kit (horizontal stab group), a Wing Kit, and a Fuselage Kit.
