Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"EAA's mission is growing participation in aviation and in 2019, after EAA reduced admission costs for students, we saw an increased number of families coming to AirVenture.

Source: Jack J. Pelton, EAA's CEO/chairman of the board, addding some details to recent announcements in which EAA promised that young people ages 18 and under will be admitted free to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021, as a way to introduce more youth to the possibilities in the world of flight. The 68th Experimental Aircraft Association fly-in convention will be July 26-August 1 at Wittman Regional Airport. This effort is designed to encourage more aviation-minded families and their children to attend the event that brings more than 10,000 aircraft from around the world to Oshkosh each year..
