FAA Awards Certification To AutoGyro Cavalon And MTOsport 2017

Two Type Certificates Issued In One Week

Following on from the initial acceptance and pre-approvals, the day has finally arrived. Certification for the AutoGyro Cavalon and MTOsport 2017 version has been released by the FAA, and both of these were issued in the same week.

"The day we have been waiting for has arrived, all THREE of our models are now available as Factory built aircraft here in the USA," said AutoGyro USA CEO Terri Rose.

No other gyroplane company has earned this status and AutoGyro is proud to be the trail blazer in the gyroplane industry here in the US.  They would like to thank the FAA for their support and dedication to this project.

“No other gyroplane can even come close to matching the achievements of AutoGyro.  We remain the world leader in gyroplane production, our commitment to development and safety, and setting the gyroplane standard internationally...Enjoy the Difference” said Gerry Speich, Chief Certification Officer.

The collaboration between the FAA, Rotorsport U.K. LTD, AutoGyro USA and AutoGyro GmbH has yielded great success once again. The FAA held a signing ceremony for each of the Type Certificates and invited the team to join the celebration of this major milestone in General Aviation.  Gerry Speich also added;

“Flight Instructors are now able to fly their instructional gyroplanes without a LODA, and our reliable and safe aircraft can even be operated for Commercial Use, such as aerial surveillance, police and military use," Speich said.  "And let’s not forget they are Fabulous Fun to Fly.”
