Cirrus Names Newest Simulator Training Center

First Flight School In OK To Offer Full-Motion Sims For Students

Destinations Executive Flight Center was the first flight school in Oklahoma to offer full-motion simulators for its clients.  Now Destinations Executive Flight Center is  the first and only Cirrus Simulator Center in the state. "It makes perfect sense for Destinations to be affiliated with Cirrus Aircraft.  Both companies are committed to safety, ongoing training, and the latest technology" said  Mike Barnes, one of the owners of Destinations.

Cirrus is a leading manufacturer of small general aviation aircraft with a focus on safety.  Cirrus aircraft are equipped with safety features such as traffic alerts, terrain awareness, airbag seatbelts, anti-icing, and even a whole aircraft parachute that lowers the plane safely to the ground in the event of an engine failure.

DestinationsEFC says its focus is safety and proficiency training. "We believe that our product offering is unique with a combination of flight training, simulator training, tailwheel training, ground schools, and FAA sponsored safety seminars," says David Koehn co-owner of the training center. Destinations employs two Redbird Simulators (AATDs) that are FAA-Approved, Three Axis, Full-Motion sims with 180° plus wrap around vision.  "The Sims are outstanding and a major factor in choosing Destinations for my transition training."  Steve McFarlin USMCR/Harrier pilot and Cirrus owner.

The combination of Full-Motion sims, knowledgable Cirrus trained instructors (CSIPs), and in-aircraft training provide the most comprehensive safety training available for Cirrus owners. Destinations  also offers sim training in Garmin and Avidyne glass cockpits as well as various Cessna, Beechcraft, and Piper aircraft.
