Resumes Piling Up At Kestrel For WI Plant

Company Won't Break Ground For New Facility Until April

Even though there's no building in which to build airplanes, Kestrel Aircraft Company says it has already recieved a great deal of interest in employment at the plant. Kestrel spokeswoman Kate Dougherty says that actual jobs with Kestrel in Superior, WI, are about two years away.

When they do need employees, Kestrel says the jobs will be mainly in aircraft assembly and carbon-fiber composite fabrication. Dougherty says that they are working with local officials to be sure there is a qualified workforce in place when they are ready to open, and that some on-the-job training is to be expected.

The Duluth News Tribune reports that the positions will range from front-desk duties to highly-skilled manufacturing jobs, and Dougherty says every part of that equation is important. She says the best way to stay on top of the employment opportunities for the new plant is through the company website.
