Aero-TV: JR'S AXIS System - Model Aviation Stability Augmentation

Amazing Efforts To Augment Model Stability Offer Exceptional New Technology

There used to be a time when learning to fly a radio controlled model airplane was a trial and error process. Unfortunately, the error part of that process often meant the creation of a “smoking hole.” Now, things have changed, and ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, took the opportunity at eFest 2015 to find out about RC aircraft automatic stabilization.

In Jim’s interview with Len Sabato, the Managing Director of JR Americas, we learn about this great feature being provided for new RC equipment. Sabato introduces us a system called Axis, which is a 3 axis system that makes the model easier to fly.

The system is adaptable to any 3 axis RC airplane and increases the stability to the point that the pilot can relax. Much like modern fighter jets and airliners, the pilot imports are carefully monitored by computers that actually control airplane. It certainly seems futuristic to find this same technology being applied to RC model aircraft.

Aero-TV is a production of the Internationally syndicated Aero-News Network. Seen worldwide by hundreds of thousands of aviators and aviation adherents, Aero-TV has produced over 2000 aviation and feature programs, including several hundred episodes of our daily aviation news program, AIRBORNE, hosted by Bri Cross. Parent company, Aero-News Network, has the most aggressive and intensive editorial profile of any aviation news organization and has published over 200,000 news and feature stories since its inception -- having pioneered the online 24/7 aviation new-media model that so many have emulated.

This video includes a good look at the equipment and provides lots of details about advances in model aviation.
