Fokker Launches 'ModStore', An Online Aircraft Modifications Trading Place

Allows Suppliers To Promote Aircraft Modifications For Multiple Aircraft Types

Fokker Services has opened up the Aircraft Modifications market to more than 1,000 operators of 20,000 commercial aircraft with the launch of ModStore, which it says provides "a dynamic centralized forum that connects sellers and buyers of aircraft modifications."

According to Fokker Services, the ModStore is a platform it facilitates to create an open, transparent and up to date aircraft modifications trading place. Fokker Services also promotes its own modifications next to those of its partners on various aircraft types.

ModStore was launched in September 2013 at the MRO Europe and already lists 9000 certified aircraft modifications. Fokker says Modstore is quickly gaining ground among aircraft operators that benefit from its free membership. Modification suppliers / sellers promote their STC’s and Modifications in a modern affordable online industry platform. Additional services for sellers as well as buyers are being sought.

“The ModSstore provides the airlines and modifications industry with transparency and brings together supply and demand," said James Aspell, Vice President Technical Services and Aircraft Completions. "Large as well as small suppliers can easily promote their aircraft enhancements on the global marketplace. For Fokker Services it provides great opportunities to further strengthen our role in ATR, Dash-8, Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 support. In addition, in the near future modifications for business aircraft will be added.”

ModSore customers are buyers and sellers. Buyers have free access to thousands of aircraft modifications. They can see what the modification is about and who to contact for more information. Sellers pay a fixed fee for unlimited access to add, modify or remove modifications.
