AEA Announces 2021 Training Excellence Awards

AEA Recognizes USA And International Avionics Training Excellence For 2021

The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) recognized 42 certified repair stations for their commitment to continuing education in Avionics, through their participation in AEA-approved training for the 2021 season.

They were presented with the 2021 AEA Avionics Training Excellence Award.

Of the 42 member-companies recognized for their participation, two were based in Canada, one in the Netherlands, and the remainder from the USA. Of the USA constituents, about 20% of the repair stations were based in Florida, 10% in Michigan, 8% in Tennessee and Texas, 5% each in Colorado, Missouri, and Oregon.

Mr. Aaron Ward, Director of Operations for the AEA offered “congratulations to each of these certified repair station members for training beyond the requirement of the Federal Aviation Administration”, and that “these businesses are committed to ensuring their technicians are current on the latest regulations and technologies” to “provide pilots and aircraft owners with high levels of service”.

To be eligible for the award, member companies must meet certain requirements from the previous year: all its technicians must have completed various AEA, AEA-approved, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training from AEA-member companies. They must have attended certain AEA events (the Connect Conference, International Convention & Trade Show), and taken the Avionics News Technical Training Exam.
