Also: Fuller's New Gig, 1st AW189 Production Flight, Phrogs Phinal Phlight, Boeing Embarrassed, 50 Years of Lear, DA42's New Role

The deal isn’t done until the first airplanes roll off the production line, but the word we are getting is that Mooney will restart airplane manufacturing at the beginning of January 2014 at its headquarters in Kerrville, Texas.

New funding from the Soaring America Corporation, a California based Company, will provide the necessary capital to re-launch and sustain the legendary brand. In plain English this means a very odd looking plane combined with amazing technology can perform spectacular earth mapping. Some members of the U.S. Senate are calling on FAA Administrator Michael Huerta to re-open the aircraft registry office closed by the partial government shutdown. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
