MMC Set to Launch HyDrone 1800

Company Claims Three Hour Flight Time For Its New UAV

A Chinese company claims its new drone will change the UAV industry forever.

That's the bold claim made by MicroMultiCopters Aero Technology (MMC), which on April 10th will unveil its HyDrone 1800 in Shenzhen, China. The company says the new UAV will have a three-hour flight duration.

"We only make professional drones," said Zhihui Lu, CEO of MMC.

But Zhihui said in a news release that most UAV companies that claim to manufacture professional drones are actually producing "toys" that average 30 minutes of flight time. Serious businesses cannot accomplish much in 30 minutes with their UAVs, he says. "But what could businesses achieve with more than 3 hours of flight time? MMC answers this question spectacularly."

The company says the HyDrone 1800 is a copter that flies for more than 3 hours, covers a distance of up to 60 miles and is able to operate below -20 degrees Celsius.

The company says its new HyDrone 1800 will be available for purchase "the moment it is launched."
