Aero-News Featured Aero-Casts For Friday 06.26.09

Following Up On The Demise of The Clear Program...

Bob Poole of The Reason Foundation was a member of the Clear program, designed to expedite passage of pre-screened frequent-fliers through airport security. Like many customers, he had his credit card charged for a two-year renewal just before the company ceased operations and went bankrupt on Monday.

ANN's Paul Plack talks with Bob about what the program was supposed to be, why the TSA fought it, and why it might one day be back.

This feature is in addition to our daily news briefing -- available in either a quick "Touch And Go" format, or an expanded Aero-Briefing -- where you'll hear these stories:

The FAA is fast-tracking regional airline safety reforms.

NASA's lunar probe is being readied to give its life for research.

And Alaskan lawmakers tell DHS, "your rules won't work here!"

...And more
