Anyone Seen My 'Chute?

Reserve 'Chute Stolen, Owner Asks For Help

It's not something you're likely to find traded by street thugs for drugs. You probably won't see this in a local pawn shop. But Vic Napier wants his emergency reserve parachute back.

Napier, an FAA-certified Master Rigger who works for No Excuses Rigging in Salem (OR), says the parachute was in a hangar at the Salem Airport on April 19. The parachute is a Paraphernalia Mini Softie, S/N 5464-S, DOM 3-97. The canopy itself is an FFE Preserve 1 (24' Conical)   S/N# 62167   DOM 2-97.

The harness and container is all black, and there is no custom lettering or logo.  It was due for inspection and repack on 11-8-02; recent maintenance was signed by Vic Napier, seal symbol QNQ.

If you have any information on the chute or those who might have made off with it, contact:

Good luck, guys.
