Soar Aviation Adds P2006T MkII To Its Fleet

Airplane Delivered During Avalon 2019 In Australia

Tecnam has delivered a twin engine P2006T MkII aircraft to Soar Aviation of Melbourne, Australia. The hand-over occurred during Avalon 2019, with the keys presented by Tecnam Global Sales and Marketing Director Walter Da Costa to Neel Khokhani, CEO of Soar Aviation.

This new P2006T MkII, equipped with latest glass avionic Garmin G1000 Nxi will join the existing fleet of 12 Tecnam P2008  and another P2006T MkI. This will allow Soar to offer the state of art of aviation training, from ab-initio to complex multi-engine IFR training.

The Tecnam P2006T Twin has established itself as the aircraft of choice for not only the world’s most reputable Flight Training Organizations but for private owners alike.

With more than 280 P2006T’s now in service worldwide, The P2006T consistently comes out on top following the most stringent of competitor fly-off evaluations. Not just from Flight Schools but Tecnam has partnered with NASA, a number of Air Forces and other niche operators who now fly specialist special mission versions of the Twin such as the P2006T SMP.

Tecnam, an Italian manufacturer, operating an aviation business since 1948, is among the top three world manufacturers.  With more than 180 aircraft produced per year, Tecnam is recognized as favourite choice especially among flight school for the broad range of fleet aircraft including 2 to 11 seaters, high and low wing, VFR and full IFR.

Founded six years ago by Neel Khokhani when he was just 22, Soar Aviation is now Australia’s largest private flying school with with over 500 students studying towards their Diploma of Aviation Commercial pilots license, under a partnership agreement with Box Hill Institute.

“We are so proud to have Soar demonstrating their positive confidence toward Tecnam. For us this is the proof that Tecnam are able to offer a real “one fleet solution”, this is our strategy. Also being in Australia and New Zealand with our subsidiary Tecnam PTY LTD, led by Bruce Stark, allow us to be closer to our customer and to satisfy them with the highest quality standards and spares support,” said Da Costa.

"Adding another P2006T equipped with the Garmin G1000 Nxi was a natural step to increasing our ability to offer advanced commercial licence training,” said Khokhani.
