Avidyne and the IFD540 Guide AEA2015 Special Event Coverage!

Avidyne Joins ANN and AEA IN Keeping YOU Informed About The Avionics World!

Avidyne Corporation designs and manufactures avionics instruments, flight displays, VHF and GPS-based navigation, communication, and data link transceivers, as well as a range of ADS-B, traffic detection, and weather detection sensors.

The company set a new standard in ease of use with its full line of panel-mounted avionics, including the IFD540 and IFD440 FMS/GPS/NAV/COMs with Hybrid Touch, Page & Tab user interface, easy GeoFill™ and Airway flight planning, and integrated Bluetooth® and WiFi capability. In addition, the IFD540 and IFD440 are plug-and-play, direct replacements for obsolete GNS530/430 navigators, dramatically simplifying installation and overall cost when upgrading.

Rounding out Avidyne’s avionics stack offering are the AMX240 audio panel with integrated marker Beacon and 6-place, voice-activated intercom, the AXP340 Mode S ADS-B OUT Transponder, (or an optional AXP322 remote-mounted ADS-B OUT Transponder), and MLB100, MLX200, and MLX210 978MHz ADS-B IN and IN/OUT solutions.

Avidyne’s Entegra Release 9 system represents the next generation of integrated flight deck systems for general aviation aircraft, including high-resolution IFD5000 displays, dual Air Data and Attitude Heading Reference Systems (ADAHRS), dual-redundant FMS900w systems with a QWERTY keypad, next-generation fully-digital 16-watt VHF NAV/COM radios, and dual WAAS/RNP-capable GPS receivers. With Entegra Release 9, Avidyne has developed a truly integrated system that is specifically designed to eliminate complexity, reduce head-down time, provide a whole new level of redundancy, and dramatically enhance safety for OEM and retrofit applications.

Avidyne’s EX600 Multi-Function Display (MFD) offers the most feature-rich, pilot-friendly and easiest-to-use radar-replacement multifunction display available.

Dedicated, easy-to-use panning keys allow pilots to scroll to virtually any point on the map to view weather, airspace, and other points of interest. An exclusive QuickPan™ feature allows the pilot to quickly toggle between the present position and a panned-to position with a single button push.

All EX600s also include CMax™Electronic Approach Charts and Worldwide Airport Diagrams.

Avidyne’s dual-antenna TAS600 Series Traffic Advisory Systems provide unsurpassed traffic detection capability, which helps pilots avoid surprises due to the shadowing effects inherent with single-antenna systems, and which meet the DO-260A requirement for full diversity antennas allowing an upgrade path to ADS-B IN with VeriTAS™, allowing pilots to see ADS-B traffic when available, along with on-board active-surveillance TAS traffic right on existing TAS-compatible displays.

Avidyne’s weather sensors include the MLX770 world-wide data link transceiver and the TWX670 Color Tactical Lightning Detection system.

Avidyne has three locations in the United States, including its Headquarters in Lincoln, MA, Safety Systems Group in Columbus, OH, and its NAV/COM Avionics Group and manufacturing facility in Melbourne, FL. Avidyne also provides worldwide product support out of its Avidyne-Europe, Avidyne-Australasia, and Avidyne-Brazil facilities.
