WestAir Charter Adds A Bombardier Challenger 300 To Its Fleet

Aircraft To Be Based In Boise, ID

Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, has added a Bombardier Challenger 300 business jet to WestAir’s Part 135 Air Carrier and Operator certificate.

“This is a huge accomplishment for our team,” said Western Aircraft’s Vice President of Aircraft Sales and Charter Management Phil Winters. “The entire WestAir team worked hard to update our operating specifications for jet operating approval, and we are excited about the growth opportunities.”

WestAir’s charter fleet has traditionally consisted of late model Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. The addition of the Challenger 300 allows WestAir to expand from the short-to-medium range regional trips appropriate for the PC-12 to the boosted coverage of coast-to-coast and international trips enabled by the business jet.

"We strive to meet the needs of our clients. Much of their travel requires a mid-size jet cabin and longer range; adding the Challenger 300 to our fleet in Boise, Idaho, puts us in a better position to meet and exceed their expectations,” Winters said.

In addition to the charter function, WestAir is also handling the jet’s aircraft management ensuring that all aspects of operation and safety are handled from maintenance to flight crew to FAA regulatory compliance.

WestAir Charter provides service to more than 5,000 airports in the United States, Mexico and Canada with aircraft based in Idaho, Washington and California.
