International Women's Air & Space Museum WOW Conference Planned

Event To Be Held October 10 In Dayton, OH

The International Women's Air & Space Museum is planning its annual Wings of Women (WOW) Conference in Dayton, OH October 10th.

The Wings of Women Conference originated in Dayton and continues there annually. The program was developed by the National Aviation Hall of Fame who then started a Cleveland chapter in 2011.

The program is geared towards late middle school and high school young women interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related career fields.

Participants will have the chance to speak with professional women mentors from these fields and discover how they got to where they are today. They will also experience hands-on activities dealing with STEM fields to further their curiosity.

Women who are interested in participating as a mentor for the conference are asked to fill out a form available online. Mentors will be recognized in a small booklet containing biographies on all the mentors is provided to the girls attending the
conference.
