Jet Aviation Selects Aircraft Data And Analysis Provider

Avionica Will Be Preferred Global Provider For FOQA Data Services

Avionica Inc. and flight data monitoring and analysis provider Ergoss of France have been selected by Jet Aviation Flight Services as the company’s preferred global provider for flight operational quality assurance (FOQA) data services.

“Jet Aviation is recognized as a Tier 1 MRO, charter and aircraft management company with hundreds of aircraft. We are delighted that Avionica has been selected with FOQA provider Ergoss to be the preferred provider of flight data management and FOQA services for Jet Aviation Flight Services worldwide,” said Anthony Rios, vice president of sales at Avionica.

Jet Aviation Flight Services, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, will recommend FOQA and flight data management (FDM) to its customers using Avionica’s flight data monitoring products and satellite products throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. In addition, Avionica will perform annual flight data recorder readouts for the Jet Aviation Flight Services global fleet.

Ergoss provides a FOQA FDM cloud based product allowing its users to access data from anywhere, including personal electronic devices. For customers using Avionica’s turnkey avSYNC FOQA solution, the flight crew would be able to access the data within 30 minutes after shutdown.

Miami, FL-based Avionica has seen a surge in business aviation adopting its avSYNC software solution, which includes quick access recorders (QAR) and the new 4G avCM wireless cellular module transmitter.  The company has shipped 10 miniQARs to be installed in Learjet 75’s and 45’s in the last two months alone.

To date, Avionica has installed QAR equipment to capture data on more than 8,000 aircraft, including those manufactured by Boeing, Embraer, Bombardier, Gulfstream, Dassault, Cessna and Learjet.  Airlines such as Emirates, United, GOL, UPS and COPA have used Avionica products for 23 years.

Avionica’s satellite communications products, satLINK MAX, is the lightest and highest performing Iridium satellite communications solution available today and is FAA safety certified for FANS-1/A data and ATS voice on the Boeing 737 as well as the Boeing 777, 767 and 757. It also can be installed as a retrofit on all business aircraft to satisfy the FANS-1/A requirements.

The company boasts a record 18 FAA certificates of approval for installation on aircraft and multiple certification approvals from Canada, Europe, United Arab Emirates and China.
