Lancair Relocating To Larger Facility

Says Strong Demand Prompts Need for Space

Lancair announced this week the company is movings its headquarters to a new, larger facility near Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM).

At 38,000 square feet, the 50-percent larger building allows for continued growth, according to Lancair personnel. The company notes lead-time for its new, pressurized Lancair Evolution turboprop is around five months.

The new building should allow Lancair to cut that time down somewhat, while also providing room for new programs such as the recently-announced  'Synergy' aircraft kit for the Colombian air force.

"We’re extremely excited about the market acceptance of the Evolution, this move will give us the capacity we need to continue to grow the company," said Lancair CEO Joe Bartels. "The facility's centralized location will provide a more efficient production process. Additionally, the building's large open bay creates a very pleasant work atmosphere for our employees and customers."

The company will commence the move in February and will be completed by April 1, 2009.
