Kaan Air Selected as Turkish AgustaWestland Authorised Sales And Service Center

AgustaWestland has announced that  Kaan Air has been selected as an AgustaWestland Sales and Authorised Service Centre in Turkey. The process has already started and it will be completed within the end of 2006. Kaan Air will provide sales, maintenance and repair services as well as maintaining a spare parts inventory for a range of AgustaWestland helicopters including the A119 Koala, A109 Power, Grand and the AW139.

Furthermore Kaan Air is investing in new facilities which will house the AgustaWestland Service Center and these will be operational within the end of 2007.

With the fleet of AgustaWestland helicopters growing in Turkey, AgustaWestland tells ANN that is committed to expanding its regional customer support services to provide ever improving levels of service to its customers. Kaan Air, located in Istanbul, is a provider of helicopter services including executive air transport and air tours.

First of Two A119 Koala Helicopters Delivered to Kaan Air

In related news, AgustaWestland has announced the delivery of the first A119 Koala in VIP configuration to Kaan Air in Turkey. The aircraft displayed at Airex 2006 will enter service after the exhibition. A second A119 Koala will be delivered to Kaan Air in 2007.

MedAir A109 Power Goes To Work

AgustaWestland also notes that MedAir, a subsidiary of the Turkish Esas Holding, is starting operations with the new A109 Power. The aircraft will enter service after the Airex 2006 exhibition providing an air taxi and VIP services as well as EMS activities.

MedAir is the latest addition to the growing number of aviation operators worldwide benefiting from the performance of the A109 Power. An A119 Koala will also join the MedAir fleet later this year.

The aircraft can be powered by Pratt & Whitney PW206 or Turbomeca Arrius engines, both of which are controlled by a Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system. The A109 Power is certified for single or dual pilot IFR flight, while the cabin can accommodate six passengers.
