Trig Avionics Stacks The Deck To Provide ANN's OSH18 Special Event Coverage

Trig Avionics Adds New Capabilities To Their Product Line!

Trig Avionics designs and manufactures certified avionics for general aviation.

AirVenture 2018 is the launch platform for our new TX56 Nav/Com family which is being previewed at the show. This slimline Nav/Com is only 1.3 inches tall and will easily fit into an existing stack. The TX56 will be an ideal retrofit for legacy equipment, delivering comprehensive Nav capability and voice communication at a price point and quality that is genuinely ground breaking.

The TX56A, the 760 Channel version will be available in Q1 2019 - at a special introductory list price of $ 3,495.

TN72 X: Innovative ADS-B for EAA AirVenture Pilots

Trig’s TN72 X GPS position source is the affordable and simple way for experimental, light sport or homebuild aircraft to be ADS-B Out equipped for 2020.

The TN72 X GPS costs $ 389 (list price) and is used with a Trig TT22 or TT31 transponder to provide a FAR 91-227 ADS-B Out compliant solution. EAA pilots who use the TN72 X can fly in 2020 rule airspace, using Trig technology that is totally proven and simple to install.

A TN72 X Bundle that includes, Trig transponder, TN72 and GPS antenna is available for only $ 2,849 on a promotional price.

Why is this innovative?

The TT22 is a popular Mode S compact transponder, with the TN72 X GPS Trig provides a certified package that meets the latest FAA standards (TSO-C166b). No other vendor provides this level of proven capability specifically for the LSA and Experimental market.

TT31 Express Lane – save time and money

The cost of an ADS-B installation is a significant part of being 2020 equipped.

Trig’s new Express Lane Service is designed for Part 23 aircraft using legacy KT76A, KT76C and KT78A transponders. If the same aircraft has a GNS or GTN WAAS navigator then a Trig TT31 is going to be the fastest and most cost effective option - saving hundreds of dollars in installation costs. A TT31 transponder can be installed 3 x times faster than alternatives, and uses the existing tray, encoder and wiring. Trig provides a free STC covering over 650 aircraft types. A TT31 transponder costs $ 2,442 list price, ex. tax. More details at https://www.trig-avionics.com/support/expresslane/

Why is this innovative?

The TT31 is a ‘plug and play’ unit – with the latest software it uses the same tray as a legacy transponder and promises a fast install. This makes the TT31 very practical, with its ADS-B Out capability and compatibility with existing GNS or GTN WAAS Navigators the TT31 can be installed in around 5 hours.

Did You Know--Cool Facts About Trig Avionics!

  • Trig is a privately held limited company, based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
  • Our Mode S transponders are ADS-B capable, each model has unique features only found in a Trig product.
  • Trig Avionics has announced plans for a future Nav/Com product family, which is expected to be available to pilots in early 2019.
  • Trig’s CEO Andy Davis started the company back in 2004. An entrepreneur and pilot, he set out to produce a solid state and energy efficient Mode S transponder. A new generation of transponders were required to meet a European wide mandate for Mode S. At the time aircraft owners had few options available, so Andy and his team changed this. Our resulting TT31 transponder set a new benchmark in quality, capability and value.
  • Trig has a ‘Better by Design’ philosophy ensuring products are simple to use, truly innovative and provide pilots with features that really matter. We have a strong commitment to helping our customers meet regulatory changes. Our free ADS-B STC program and free European Minor Change Approvals are used every day by our customers to get airborne, reducing the cost of compliance.
