Visitors To O'Hare: Big Brother Is Watching

And, No, It's Not Richard Daley

There's a new wrinkle for foreign travelers who pass through Chicago's O'Hare Airport. Now, they must submit to digital fingerprinting and photographs.

The "Chicago Tribune" reports the new requirement comes under a program called "US-VISIT." Homeland Security workers at O'Hare implemented the program Monday night for foreign travelers leaving the country with US visas.

Until the program was instituted at O'Hare, only those departing from Baltimore-Washington Airport and Miami's International Cruise Line Terminal had to provide the prints and images. The Tribune reports US-VISIT will be integrated at ten more airports and two seaports in Los Angeles next month.
