Fantasy Of Flight Plans Museum Opening

Facility Will Be Smaller Than The Previous Central Florida Attraction

Fantasy of Flight, an attraction located between Orlando and Tampa, Florida on Interstate 4, plans to open a new museum late this month or early in December. The attraction closed in March, and this new facility will be "very scaled down" from the previous one.

An explanation of what will be included has been posted to the Fantasy of Flight Facebook page. The targeted opening date is Saturday, December 6th, according to the posting, "in the old maintenance hangar across the runway from the old main building, so it will be much smaller."

"We'll put as many other planes in there as we can fit, but with space being what it is, you're not likely to see the Sunderland, B-26, B-17, Tri-Motors, C-47, etc," the posting states. "We will try to rotate some of the smaller planes as we go to keep it fresh for regular visitors."

Fantasy of Flight has not yet set an admission price for the museum, which will likely be open only Thursday through Sunday.
