Daher Unveils Me & My TBM App 6.0

Upgraded Platform Impresses

In addition to being a French industrial conglomerate with foci across the aerospace, defense, nuclear, and automotive industrial sectors, Daher is the parent company of general aviation aircraft concerns TBM, Kodiak, and SOCATA, and model rocket producer Quest Aerospace.

On 19 April 2023, Daher unveiled the sixth iteration of its Me & My TBM platform—a cloud-based in-flight monitoring app.

Introduced in 2018, Daher’s Me & My TBM app leverages the company’s data-management expertise to collect, process, and analyze more than four-million data points generated daily by the TBM in-service fleet. By perpetually evolving the flight monitoring capabilities of its Me & My TBM app, Daher has created a digital infrastructure by which TBM pilots are afforded opportunity to continuously improve their flying skills. What’s more, the Me & My TBM app enhances environmental stewardship through its eco-efficiency tracking feature.

Speaking at Germany’s AERO Friedrichshafen general aviation show, Daher Aircraft Division senior vice-president Nicolas Chabbert stated: “The sixth Me & My TBM app version marks Daher’s commitment to improving the TBM flight experience, year after year. This latest version reflects 18-months of dedicated work by our strengthened IT team, and includes inputs from experts in the TBM piloting community.”

Among the key upgrades occasioned by the sixth revision of the Me & My TBM app is an improved display, the larger text and improved pictorial presentations of which facilitate enhanced readability. Additionally, version 6 introduces a degree of flexibility that allows multiple pilots to utilize the platform for purpose of tracking their respective flights—a feature eminently useful to fleet operators, flight departments, and aircraft rental entities.

By encouraging TBM pilots to further develop their airmanship, the latest incarnation of the Me & My TBM app enables aviators to log flights, even those comprising multiple landings—a tool useful to CFIs delivering post-flight debriefings to their students. Furthermore, the app is capable of generating compliance reports based on the TBM’s Stabilized Approach Criteria (SAC).

Another new feature of the Me & My TBM app is the software’s ability to allow users to differentiate between different types of aircraft operations: e.g., private or business flights, or training, maintenance, or ferry missions.

In addition to its various technical improvements, version 6 of the Me & My TBM app enables automatic data transfer to alternate cloud-based applications, such as CloudAhoy’s data-driven, post-flight debriefing tool and the FlySto avionics log-files processing software.

Yet another Daher undertaking conducive to the perpetual betterment of piloting skills is the company’s My TBM Challenge, a competition in which pilots compare their personal flight performance to that of others within the TBM community. TBM owners/operators taking part in the My TBM Challenge can earn Voyager and Aviator trophies by accumulating points. Challenge participants can also earn recognition by attending major TBM events and safety seminars

Currently, Daher is demonstrating version 6 of its Me & My TBM app, as well as displaying the company’s TBM 960 and Kodiak 100 turboprop aircraft in Hall A3, Booth #305 of the AERO Friedrichshafen general aviation show.
