Now you get the safety without the weight penalty. BRS Aerospace recently announced Cessna 182P, Q model owners who purchase and install a BRS system in their aircraft will not only gain the added flying safety, but will also gain a 160-pound allowable gross weight increase.
A group in Wichita, Kansas working to restore the B-29 bomber named "Doc" to airworthy condition have an ambitious goal. They want to fly the airplane to EAA AirVenture 2014. The restoration project was undertaken in 2000, but was put on hold for a few years due to the poor economy and lack of hangar space to work on the massive airplane. The EMG-6 ultralight glider has made its first short test flights with designer Brian Carpenter at the controls. The aircraft, under development by Rainbow Aviation Company, is designed as an ultralight motor glider that could be outfitted with as many as three electric motors.
