Source: AOPA President Phil Boyer, on Thursday's reposting on the FAA's website of the transcript of a January 18 meeting on the Washington ADIZ. Last month, NORAD requested that the Department of Homeland Security pull the transcript, and screen it thoroughly for any secure or sensitive information that may have been presented during the meeting. In particular, NORAD seemed troubled by the testimony of one private pilot -- who flies Navy F-18s for a living -- who commented that a rogue aircraft could legally gain access to the ADIZ, and then proceed to head towards the Capitol before military aircraft could intercept it. The result of the investigation? Over one month after the transcript was pulled... and nearly three months since the meeting took place... the transcript is back. What's more, nothing harmful to national security was found.
