Airborne Oshkosh Day 2: Aspen Avionics, DA50 RG!, Aviation Safety Resources

07.27.21: WACO Aircraft, Cessna/Textron Sky Courier, AMAZING Able Flight, Pelton Int'vw Part 2

Aspen Avionics has announced programs that allow you to dump your old AI and clean up your cockpit... relying on Aspen’s outstanding Primary Flight Displays.... John Uczekaj explains.

One of the most popular airplanes at Oshkosh, Diamond’s new five seat, diesel-powered DA50-RG is drawing crowds. It looks like the ultimate Cirrus-beater has finally arrived. Aviation Safety Resources is adding new airplane partners and adjusting to the new capabilities they have as a result of the purchase of Strong Parachutes. They report strong business from the first day of the show and are adding airframe parachute partners at an impressive rate. The world’s preeminent biplane builders, WACO Aircraft talked about their plans for the future of the biplane business, their beautiful new FBO and their biggest hit yet, the WACO Kitchen -- which ANN sampled just a few days ago... Cessna’s Sky Courier showed up while actively involved in Textron’s extensive flight test program, this bulked-up twin engine turbo-prop is under serious consideration by cargo-haulers all over the globe... Able Flight honored six new pilots as well as two instructors who have surmounted all manner of difficulties to be a most-welcome part of aviation. We couldn’t be happier to welcome new flyers to Oshkosh! And... In our second segment with Jack Pelton, we discussed what EAA had to do to keep the doors open, serve their members and prep for AirVenture 2021... it's obvious that the so-called downtime was NOT wasted. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
