Duncan Aviation Will Distribute ARINC's SKYLink Satellite Broadband for BizJets

ARINC Direct has appointed Duncan Aviation as a distributor for the ARINC SKYLink high-speed satellite broadband solution for business jets.

Introduced in 2005, SKYLink is still the only Ku-band satellite technology that directly addresses the unique space, cost, and connectivity requirements of business aircraft.

"We are proud to welcome Duncan Aviation as a sales partner for the ultra-high speed SKYLink system," stated Robert Thompson, Senior Director, ARINC Satellite Services.

"Their participation reaffirms our belief that SKYLink will be the gold standard for high-speed connectivity for corporate aircraft."

"The reliable performance of SKYLink as original equipment has been well proven," stated Steve Elofson, Duncan Team Leader, Aircraft. Modifications Completion Sales.

"Now that SKYLink avionics are available for retrofit installation, Duncan Aviation is eager to bring the benefits of ultra-high speed network connectivity in flight to our many corporate customers."

SKYLink turns the business aircraft into a fully-connected "office in the sky," with ultra-high speed network connectivity from the ramp to cruising altitudes. SKYLink takes full advantage of Ku-band satellite capacity and offers a wide range of business applications including high-speed Internet access, E-mail, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and corporate Intranet access. New Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony and a fully-managed Fax over IP (FoIP) service have just been announced.

SKYLink satellite connectivity offers unbroken high-speed service completely across North America, and additional service for much of Europe, the Middle East, and the North Atlantic flight tracks is anticipated this year. "With this planned expansion, business jets using SKYLink will be able to stay connected to their corporate networks all the way from the U.S. west coast to the Middle East," added Thompson.
