JFI Jets Joins EPIC FBO Network, Becomes EPIC Aviation

UVair Branded Fuel Reseller Achieves ARGUS Platinum Rating, Adds Hawker Premier 1A To Charter Fleet

JFI Jets, a worldwide provider of aircraft management and charter services, announced that its JFI JetCenter at California's Long Beach Airport has joined the EPIC FBO Network and is now an Epic Aviation and UVair branded fuel reseller.

In addition, JFI Jets reported that it has been awarded the ARGUS Platinum rating along with IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) Stage 1 certification for its Safety Management System utilizing ARGUS's combination audit program. JFI Jets also has added a Hawker Premier 1A aircraft to its growing charter fleet.  The aircraft is based in West Virginia and will be available for charter in the mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes and northeast US regions.

With the EPIC fuel brand operational, JFI Jets is now offering Bravo Rewards and accepting the EPIC Card as the newest additions to its full service operation. "We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with EPIC and UVair and the outstanding service that we can provide together to our customers," said Robert Seidel, JFI Jets chief executive officer.

EPIC Aviation is an aviation fuel supplier with primary operations throughout the United States and Canada including the EPIC FBO Network and UVair FBO Network.  EPIC's supply system consists of nearly 300 fuel supply points in the U.S. and Canada.   The UVair FBO Network is a premiere network of independent FBOs that are high end facilities, unparalleled service and safety, supported by industry-standard training at their facilities. With the UVair FBO Network fuel brand in place, JFI Jets is now offering preferred fuel pricing plus the opportunity to earn bonus Bravo Rewards redeemable from over 45 million reward options when using the EPIC card and UVair card.

The Platinum rating is ARGUS' highest level of safety ratings and requires many elements that exceed the FAR 135 requirements.  Beginning from compliance with only the FAR requirements, it takes the average operator several months to comply with the Platinum standard. "We are delighted to be one of only 96 private jet operators of 2,106 in the US charter industry to receive this significant rating," Seidel said.  "The rating is an important recognition of excellence in our operational practices and flight safety standards."   The ARGUS rating came after a three day on-site audit by ARGUS PROS, a global leader in safety audits for the aviation industry.

"ARGUS is pleased to welcome JFI Jets to the exclusive global list of ARGUS Platinum related operators," said Joe Moeggenberg, ARGUS president and CEO.  "Becoming an ARGUS Platinum rated operator and achieving IS-BAO Stage 1 registration is an enormous accomplishment and we congratulate the entire JFI Jets team on this significant occasion.  It is great to see operators like JFI Jets, who acknowledge the importance of building an organization focused around safety and quality, achieving the ARGUS Platinum rating."

The JFI Jets IS-BAO Stage 1 certification demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to safety and that its safety management system has been documented, approved and resourced, all designed to foster standardized, safe and highly professional aircraft operations.  JFI Jets' Safety Management System is designed to identify safety issues before they rise to the level of a problem or cause an incident.

"Safety remains our top priority at JFI Jets and is the reason we chose to undertake the three-day on-site audit to achieve both ARGUS Platinum status and IS-BAO Stage 1 Safety Management System certification," Seidel said.  "At the core of IS-BAO and the ARGUS Platinum standard lies the requirement for a comprehensive and effective aviation safety management system.  I'm very proud of our team who met the challenging and stringent requirements. JFI Jets' Safety Management System is designed to identify safety issues before they rise to the level of a problem or cause an incident."

In announcing the addition of the Hawker Premier 1A, Seidel said it will be based in the mid-Atlantic, northeast, and Great Lakes region.
