Baker Aviation Promotes Ray Goyco, Jr. To President

Joined The Company In 2012 As Chief Operating Officer

North Texas aircraft maintenance, management, and charter company Baker Aviation has announced the appointment of Ray Goyco, Jr. to the role of President. Goyco joined Baker Aviation in 2012 as Chief Operating Officer and has successfully implemented a fast-track business plan to grow and expand the Addison, Texas based maintenance facility.

Armed with a repair station certification, Ray quickly organized the Baker Aviation maintenance expansion that now totals 25,400 square feet of floor space in three separate hangars. Last April, Ray and his team added Falcon maintenance to the Baker Ops Specs, expanding the capability line-up of aircraft that also includes Hawker, King Air, Beechjet, Citation, Learjet, Challenger and Gulfstream. The next accomplishment came in August with an upgraded tarmac and taxiway to accommodate larger business jets, as part of an Addison Airport renewal plan, funded by the Texas Department of Transportation. Additionally, in November 2013, Baker was named the exclusive distributor for the HOT-STOP ‘L’ Lithium Ion Fire Containment Bag product line.

“Stan, our CEO, and I started Baker Aviation as a charter/management business in 2008 and the maintenance services side of the business was added a few years later,” noted W. Stanley Baker, Jr., founder of Baker Aviation. “Now we have the two businesses connected and working together harmoniously because of Ray and the synergies that he and Stan share. Our company is in position for rapid growth and Ray’s leadership role will certainly help us take advantage of all the opportunities.”

W. Stanley “Stan” Baker, III, CEO for Baker Aviation commented, “Ray’s industry expertise, demeanor and keen insight for our business has helped us achieve our operational and revenue growth goals over the past 18 months, so it is only natural that he moves into the role of President. We continue to make aggressive plans to further expand our reach and capabilities so I am confident Ray will remain a key element to the future success of Baker Aviation,” added Stan Baker.

“I accept the honor of this appointment with pride and humility”, stated Ray Goyco, Jr., President and COO for Baker Aviation. “My commitment to excellence continues as I oversee the repair station’s day to day operation while also ensuring a strong infrastructure to handle the continued growth at Baker Aviation. With the undeniable support of the Baker family and invaluable assistance of staff, together we will exceed the industry standard and continue to deliver a unique level of service afforded by a privately owned company, such as Baker Aviation.”
