Barnstorming: Short and Sweet... Where Is The Industry Outrage?

I'll Keep This Uncharacteristically Brief... We're About To LOSE... In A Big Way!

Watching the move toward ATC Privatization continue inexorably toward what appears to be a Fait Accompli... and wondering... REALLY WONDERING where is the industry outrage?

Where is the organized resistance? Do people NOT understand that the ultimate end of this will put the airlines in charge of who and what accesses American Airspace... and that GA, SportAv and BizAv are considered to be nothing but a fly in the ointment to the almighty airlines?

Personal aviation is at stake... few of the associations seem sufficiently outraged and/or organized to present proper resistance -- while many of the once-powerful alphabets seem all but silent, if not not downright meek... only EAA, in particular, and NBAA (to a somewhat lesser extent) seem intent on empowering their membership to protest this altogether destructive course... but its not enough.

It's not enough.

I've watched the wimpification of aviation continue over the last decade...

I've watched dishonest companies screw the aviation public without much interference...

I've watched politicians deride and defame aviation at every opportunity...

I've watched the general media publish vicious anti-aviation attacks that are without expertise, insight, merit or factual continuity...

And I wonder just how long we can take this without the entire aero-verse collapsing into irrelevant chaos.

I'm beating my head against the wall trying to do the right thing for aviation... even when its not the right thing for my business, and really beginning to wonder -- am I, are we all, too late?

I'm putting everything I have into fighting for a sustainable future for aviation... but much of (WAY too much) aviation seems woefully, tragically, inexplicably silent.
