Alpha Star Signs for 'VIP Completions'

Airbus A319 and A330 to be Refurbished into Airbus Corporate Jet Lookalikes

Alpha Star Aviation, a flight services provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has signed a deal at EBACE 2023 for what they call "VIP Completions" of some narrowbody Airbus Aircraft.

The planes in question, an Airbus A319 and A330, will be overhauled by "Jet Basel" (assumed to be the Swiss base of Jet Aviation) to something approximating the Airbus Corporate Jets variant of each aircraft.

The company is no stranger to the ACJ lineup, having operated a handful of ACJ aircraft already. Alpha Star's home market in the Middle East is a bountiful one to have for such spacious charter aircraft, leading to them leaning into the large private jets more than any other operator in recent memory. The firm manages, operates, and offers a fleet of Airbus corporate jets including the ACJ318s, ACJ319s, ACJ320s, an ACJ330, and an ACJ340.

“Middle East customers already recognise and appreciate the greater comfort, capacity and capability of Airbus corporate jets, so new and improved versions are a natural next step when it comes to investing for the future,” said Alpha Star CEO Salem Al Muzaini. “Being first in the region with the Airbus ACJneo Family will also help us to maintain our lead in VVIP charters."

“Jet Aviation has an excellent reputation for the quality of its cabin interiors, which is backed by comprehensive capabilities and a willingness to invest in cutting edge technology. We have every confidence in their ability to fully meet our specifications, because what distinguishes us in Alpha Star is our determination to achieve the highest international standards”. Alpha Star Aviation Services CEO Salem Al Muzaini said.

For his part, the Vice President and General Manager of Jet Aviation Neil Boyle said “We feel honored to be Alpha Star’s Completions Center of choice and look forward to delivering two aircraft with beautiful interiors,” and added “Our in-house engineering teams, production personnel and certifying professionals are continuously striving to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction. The award of this project demonstrates great confidence in our extensive capabilities, both with single and twin-aisle VIP completions.”
