September 2024 marks the one-year anniversary of the debut of Lightspeed Aviation’s flagship safety headset, the Lightspeed Delta Zulu. Another safety feature of the Delta Zulu headset is Lightspeed’s HearingEQity, a built-in hearing loss compensation system that creates personalized hearing profiles for clearer cockpit communications. For many pilots, the HearingEQity system has eliminated the need to pair their headsets with hearing aids; for other aviators, the system dramatically clarifies ATC communications, thereby boosting confidence during flight—instrument flight in particular.
