Pilatus Delivers 1,300th PC-12

Airplane To Enter Service With Surf Air Of California

In a ceremony Monday at Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd’s facility in Broomfield, CO, the Swiss aircraft manufacturer delivered the 1,300th unit of its single engine turboprop PC-12 to California-based airline Surf Air.

Surf Air is the nation’s first private air travel club offering unlimited monthly flights. Operating executive Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, Surf Air flies to and from convenient airports in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles Metro Area, Santa Barbara, Carlsbad/San Diego, Truckee/Lake Tahoe, and Las Vegas with additional destinations to follow.

Pilatus’ 1,300th PC-12 NG is Surf Air’s 4th new PC-12 NG delivery since placing an order last fall for 15 PC-12 NG aircraft, with options for an additional 50.

“We are delighted that this milestone aircraft is going into service with Surf Air," said Thomas Bosshard, President and CEO of Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd. "Due to its key capabilities, its large cabin and continual development, demand for the PC-12 NG remains very high around the world. Companies like Surf Air innovate around a travel model that opens access to the benefits of business aviation to many more individuals and companies.

“We are proud to partner with Pilatus, and honored to take delivery today of their 1,300th PC-12. The efficiency, comfort, and performance of the PC-12 NG are key attributes that help make the Surf Air business model work so well," said Jeff Potter, President and CEO of Surf Air. We are looking forward to our next delivery and continuing to expand our unique service.”
