Updated Information Covers Recent Changes in CFRs for Pilots, Dispatchers
ASA has published their 4th edition of Air Carrier Operations, updating the handbook for airline-bound students.
The book helps acquaint would-be carrier employees on the many regulations required of those flying for both Part 121 and 135 operators, getting pilots used to the wide world of regulatory compliance. The book should prove useful to both students and professionals, helping them navigate the sometimes baffling scale of applicable rules and laws that govern their work.
Air Carrier Operations primarily reviews the regulations governing Part 121 air carriers, with additional coverage on Part 119 and relevant elements from Parts 135, 91, 61 and 25 of the body of Federal Aviation Regulations. For the 4th edition, ASA updated the book with recent changes like Part 111 and the Pilot Records Database. The book tends to emphasize operations under Instrument Flight Rules, particularly helpful for would-be dispatchers, too.
Authors Mark Holt and Phil Poynor retained the assistance of seasoned Aircraft Dispatchers, allowing their project to pull double duty and help students looking to ace the knowledge test for their FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate. In addition, updates and revisions throughout reflect new FAA regulatory changes to provide students, pilots, flight crews, dispatchers, and management professionals with the essential information pertinent to today’s air carrier operations.
Air Carrier Operations ranges from $44.95 in eBook format, to $49.95 for softcover.
