Luxaviation Group To Receive First Citation M2 Gen2 Light Jet

Paris-Based Operator States New Aircraft Will Provide Access to New Client Base

Textron Aviation announced that Luxaviation Group is the first European customer for the Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 light business aircraft. Paris-based Luxaviation Group is among the largest, private aircraft operators in the world.

Karol Guérémy, Managing Director of Luxaviation States, “The addition of this new Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 will provide access to a new client base out of our Paris base where we offer FBO, aircraft charter and management.” Guérémy adds,“The Citation M2 Gen2 will be able to cover a large part of Western Europe, with its ability to land in restricted destinations, like London City or Cannes.”

The delivery of the M2 Gen2 to Luxaviation is contingent upon European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) type certification of the aircraft. The aircraft has already received FAA type-certification and been delivered to the first, U.S. customer.

The M2 Gen2 is certified for single-pilot operations and seats six passengers in the cabin and one additional passenger in the right, cockpit seat. The flight-deck features a GARMIN G3000 flight deck with touch-controlled avionics suited for  single pilot operation. Power is provided by twin, Williams FJ44 engines producing 1965 pounds thrust/per. Textron claims a cruising speed of up to 404 knots and a range of 1,550 nautical miles. Textron advertises a MGTOW of 10,700 lbs. (4,853 kilos); useable fuel weight of 3,296 lbs. (1495 kilos); a useful load of 3,810 lbs. (1728 kilos), and a full-fuel payload of 514 lbs. (233 kilos).
