Aero-TV At OSH21: ANN Talks Skyleader 600 At Oshkosh

Michael Tomazin Gives An Overview Of The Aircraft

ANN and Michael Tomazin, the North American Distributor for Skyleader Aircraft reflect on the days past at Oshkosh.

“We’ve had an outstanding turnout, a lot of excitement around our new 600 model, and we’ve just really been pleased with all the folks that have come by and all the new leads. We have got a lot of the demo rides to give after the show so we are looking forward to that, and showing customers the product that we offer,” Tomazin says.

The Skyleader 600 is an all metal two-seat, low wing constructed aircraft with a trapezoidal wing. The aircraft has a tricycle towed fixed landing gear with wheel pants and a steerable nose wheel, either retractable gear option.

“We have a complete range; something for the flight schools, something for someone that just wants to fly around the patch a little bit, and someone that wants to take a long cruise like I did… 5400 nautical miles across the United States, 18 states in about 54 hours so 100 knots, you can’t beat that,” Tomazin continues.

The aircraft has been described as fun and easy to fly.

“The cockpit fits the largest of our pilots in the United States. The new canopy allows for somebody 6’3 or 6’4. It has adjustable seats, and one of the nice things is of course we have full fowler flaps right here, I mean they just allow for some of the best approaches and the slowest touchdown speeds,” he says.

“We have over 400 of these worldwide, and not a single fatality. It is a well built, safe aircraft to fly and it's very affordable,” Tomazin concludes.
