StandardAero Readies for Increased Gogo AVANCE Upgrade Demand

Popular MRO Establishes Slot Program for Gogo Installations

As Gogo Business Aviation readies for its long-planned and widely anticipated network migration, StandardAero, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based provider of aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, has dedicated capacity across the entirety of its enterprise to the upgrading of extant Gogo Classic ATG (Air-to-Ground) airborne connectivity systems to Gogo’s new AVANCE architecture.

Having installed more than 455 Gogo systems over its 19-year affiliation with the American provider of in-flight broadband Internet connectivity services for business aircraft—StandardAero ranks among Gogo’s top installation and certification partners.

To facilitate impending demand, StandardAero has established a slot program in which Gogo Classic ATG customers may reserve installation slots at one of four U.S. facilities at which StandardAero performs Gogo work—specifically: Augusta, Georgia, Houston, Texas, Springfield, Illinois, and Van Nuys, California.

StandardAero president of business aviation Tony Brancato stated: “As we balance the increased levels of installation interest with anticipated lack of available floor space capacity, we are committed to minimizing maintenance downtime and mitigating interruptions for Gogo operators. The slot program allows customers to rest easy knowing their Gogo inflight connectivity upgrade needs will be taken care of with timely care and attention.”

Upwards of three-thousand business aircraft are currently equipped with Gogo Classic ATG systems (ATG 8000, 5000, 4000, 2000, 1000). Subject aircraft are readily upgraded to Gogo’s AVANCE L3 or L5 connectivity solutions prior to the anticipated early 2026 LTE network migration. Gogo Classic ATG operators opting to upgrade to the AVANCE platform will realize significant improvements in connectivity performance and find their aircraft better able to meet ever-increasing demands for in-flight data transfer.

Gogo president and chief operating officer Sergio Aguirre remarked: “We're pleased one of our major MRO partners and platinum-level dealers is dedicating incremental labor and floor space through this slot program for Gogo Classic ATG to AVANCE upgrades. Our customers can count on the experts at StandardAero to help guide them through the technology transformation ahead of the migration.”

Existing Gogo Classic ATG customers seeking to upgrade to the company’s AVANCE L3 or L5 systems may avail themselves of current promotions offering rebates of up to $50,000. Parties interested in learning more about upgrading to Gogo’s AVANCE system are invited to contact StandardAero.
