Auction Takes Place On Halloween At Orlando's Peabody Hotel

An auction held to benefit Corporate Angel Network (CAN) during the National Business Aviation Association’s Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2012) will take place on Wednesday, October 31st at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL, The auction features many highly-prized donated items and unique bidding opportunities for aviation departments.

Aircell has donated an ATG 5000, high speed Internet access package. The ATG 5000 equipment package provides high speed Internet access via the Gogo Biz service. Gogo Biz is for business aviators who want the flexibility and convenience of a full Internet experience while flying over the contiguous United States and portions of Alaska. Once installed, the service supports all Wi-Fi-enabled laptops, notebooks and smart phones. The Aircell ATG 5000 equipment package has a retail value of $91,500.

Another sure-to-be-popular auction item, donated by CAE, is valued at $60,000. The successful bidder will visit exotic Dubai and Train at Emirates-CAE Flight Training. Here's an opportunity to combine some business and leisure with this generous donation from CAE, a global leader in business aviation training and Emirates, one of the world's leading international airlines. The package includes two business class round-trip tickets on Emirates from New York to Dubai; a Recurrent Training session at Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT), a joint venture of CAE and Emirates, and one of the world’s premiere aviation training centers. Options include four- or five-day Recurrent Training session on: A320, B737NG, Challenger 604, Global Express, Falcon 7X, Falcon 900 EX Easy, Falcon 2000 EX Easy, GIV, GV, G450, G500, G550, Hawker 800XP, Hawker 800XPi, Hawker 850XP, or Hawker 850XPi business aviation aircraft program at ECFT. This package includes a full training program to take place at the SimCom Orlando, Florida training center at a time mutually agreed upon by both SimCom and the winning bidder. Training is to be provided sometime over the next twelve months.

Other auction itmes include:

  • A Bendix King KMA-30 Audio Panel by Honeywell. Valued at $2,300, the KMA 30 is a convenient “slide-in” replacement for select older audio panels and saves the expense of re-wiring the entire avionics suite. The KMA 30 makes it simple for the pilot to control audio throughout the entire aircraft.
  • 1,000 Gallons of Jet Fuel. Phillips 66 Aviation is donating the fuel. The highest bidder may redeem the fuel at one of the over 860 Phillips 66 branded FBO’s in the country.
  • One year of waived handling fees from Signature Flight Support, available at any United States location of Signature Flight Support for one (1) aircraft.  Aircraft tail number is required prior to redeeming the certificate and does not include airport landing fees, taxes, Customs or other government imposed fees.
