China Formalizes Support For Next Generation Aviation Professionals

ICAO Event Taking Place December 12-14

The upcoming Second ICAO Next Generation of Aviation Professionals Global Summit (NGAP/2)  will receive vital support from China, following the recent signing of a tripartite cooperative agreement by Dr. Fang Liu, Secretary General of ICAO, Mr. Lou Heru, Deputy Director-General of the Transport Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, and Mr. Yao Junchen, Secretary General of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (CSAA).

The CSAA and the Municipality of Shenzhen will host NGAP/2 from December 12-14, 2018. A key objective of the event is to ensure that qualified and competent aviation professionals are available to operate, manage and maintain the future international air transport system.

Thanks to the generous support of Shenzhen and the CSAA, the Summit will comprise a forum on the future of aviation development, an aviation education session to enhance networking among aviation-focused universities, and a Model ICAO Forum which will provide students with an opportunity to work with aviation leaders to develop innovative approaches to emerging challenges relating to aviation security, air cargo, economic development challenges, and emerging drone operations.

Registration for NGAP/2 is currently open and can be completed here.
