Space Imaging, IATA Form Partnership to Sell Aviation Imagery

Something New To Buy

Space Imaging has reached an exclusive agreement for its aviation geospatial products to be sold by the Montreal-based International Air Transport Association.

Space Imaging says its imagery, derived from Space Imaging’s IKONOS satellite, as well as the Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) and Landsat satellites, would be able to aid air transport safety and efficiency for airlines and airports.

The deal is especially significant because IATA’s membership includes more than 270 airlines that compose 95 percent of all international scheduled air traffic. For in-depth coverage of this story, see the August issue of Satellite News’s Government Procurement Report.
