Avfuel Finds Success At Home And Abroad

Offers New Solutions And Locations

Avfuel Corporation continued its trajectory of growth in 2015 with updated technology, and a spike in customers and global solutions.

“We’ve had a great year,” said Joel Hirst, vice president of sales for Avfuel. “I think that’s a testament to our qualified staff and the talent we’ve brought in to support our growing customer base. We always have our ear to the ground, discovering new solutions to fulfill our customers’ needs. I think they are very perceptive to that mentality and look to join a network that not only provides the best solutions, but continuously strives to better itself.”

With this mindset, Avfuel created a new website for its customers and excelled in international expansion, contract fuel growth and commercial fuel sales.

Avfuel launched its new website early in the year, providing a more user-friendly experience across multiple interfaces, from desktop to mobile. Customers can use the new website to find valuable resources, manage and link accounts, find fueling locations and prices, and discover AVTRIP Bonus Point opportunities. This technology puts more tools in the hands of Avfuel customers to support their operations.

Avfuel experienced a surge in international expansion. With the addition of 38 new branded-dealers, 34 in the United States and 4 in Europe, aviators can enjoy the benefits of flying in the Avfuel network at more locations around the world. This notable expansion across Europe includes Waterford Regional Airport in Waterford, Ireland (EIWF); The Private Jet Company in the Isle of Man, UK (EGNS); Marshall Aviation Services in Birmingham, UK (EGBB); and, starting this winter, Woodgate Aviation at Belfast International Airport in Northern Ireland (EGAA).

To the south, Avfuel expanded its presence into the Caribbean, Mexico and South America with new fuel locations and supply agreements, helping to ensure an uninterrupted flow of quality fuel product at competitive prices. “We really focused on global expansion this year,” said C.R. Sincock, managing director of international business development for Avfuel. “The beauty of aviation is that you’re not confined to any one location, any one continent. It’s about connecting people, cultures and businesses. Knowing our customers travel around the world, we want to be able to provide them with safe, secure, reliable services at every destination. Our growth this year laid the foundation for an exciting 2016.”

Avfuel Contract Fuel added 127 US locations and a staggering 419 other locations this year alone, further aiding its customers globally. To better support its 3,000+ flight departments in fuel management, notable new contract fuel staff were brought onboard. Updated web tools also make it easier and more efficient for these flight departments to find and purchase Avfuel Contract Fuel. Additionally, Avfuel enhanced its robust dispatch center with 24/7 staff and hired more European staff to handle off-hours, providing dedicated support to the United Kingdom. “Over the past four years, we’ve really focused on our international presence,” said Jon Boyle, Avfuel’s director of contract fuel. “Since 2010, we’ve seen more than a 100 percent growth in contract fuel volume. This took an exorbitant amount of work from the FBO sales staff, the international supply group, and our contract fuel sales team. We’re a company dedicated to growth, reaching key global markets and impacting pilots worldwide.”

Additionally, Avfuel focused on expanding commercial fuel in 2015. As a result, commercial fuel sales have sky-rocketed. The number of tenders awarded this year tripled and Avfuel now boasts a customer segment that includes most major commercial carriers across the globe. In an effort to support sales in this growing segment, Avfuel hired key staff in the United Kingdom and United States. “Providing our commercial fuel customers with reliable fuel supply has always been a focus at Avfuel,” said Mark Haynes, Avfuel’s vice president of sales. “This year, we made a concerted effort to enhance our visibility in this market, becoming a significant player in commercial fuel sales for major and regional airlines, government entities, military aircraft, fractional operators, freight and cargo operators, and large corporate aircraft fleets.”

Heading into 2016, Avfuel looks forward to another year of growth and development to continue to deliver reliable products, effective solutions and exceptional service to its expanding customer-base.
