Blue Sky Now Shipping Skylink Data System

Offers Satellite and Cellular Connectivity with Global Coverage

Blue Sky Network has begun shipping their SkyLink, a dual-mode Data Management System that offers remote, consistent connectivity wherever it’s needed most. Designed to be a versatile addition to any operation, the unit offers internet connection through Iridium Certus service as well as GSM and LTE comms. Stackable, small, and portable, Blue Sky says it’s perfect for maritime, aviation, land, and IoT operations.

Allowing truly global internet connectivity, the Skylink’s forte is its use in areas with sparse, spotty cellular connections, as users move through areas of varying coverage. Small enough to be carried, an optional, rechargeable backup battery adds an additional 6 hours of uptime for continuous power during mobile use, or in case of power failure in remote installations or mobile use.

Bryan Hartin, vp of sales and marketing for Iridium, emphasizes the inclusion of satellite service as integral to the high performance of the system. “This management solution will operate on the Iridium Certus 100 service, offering a powerful combination of small size and high performance that will make it easier and more affordable for enterprise-grade voice, remote monitoring, and data management, while enabling reliable coverage anywhere in the world.”

“SkyLink is multifaceted and configurable in form and function,” stated Tucker Morrison, CEO of Blue Sky Network, “It’s a solution born of our partners, customers, and our prospective customers’ operational needs. We are excited to see SkyLink come to life and support remote missions across the globe.”
