FAA Grants STC Approval To JETTECH For Garmin GTN Installation

For Cessna CJs Equipped With ProLine 21 & FGC-3000 Digital FCS

The FAA has granted an STC to JETTECH covering Garmin touchscreen GTN 650/750 GPS/NAV/COM installations on Cessna CJ models 525/525A/525B equipped with Rockwell Collins ProLine 21 and FGC-3000 Digital Flight Control System.

The installation is engineered for an autopilot coupled LPV WAAS approach and includes a voice-activated intercom and ADS-B in and out. With this STC, the JETTECH retrofit solution now covers all CJ models including CJ1/CJ1+/CJ2/CJ2+ and CJ3 aircraft.

The new STC is for a fully integrated GPS/NAV/COM  and also covers the installation of the Garmin GTX 33/3000/3X5 transponders, replacing the existing ‘hot mike’ audio panel with the integrated voice activated GMA 35, GA35/37 antennas, ADS-B in and out, satellite weather and music.

JETTECH is offering installation data packages and AIU for the aircraft affected by the amended STC through approved Garmin authorized dealers along with a complete documentation package to support the installation process.

According to Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH, one of the most important features of the amended STC is the autopilot coupled LPV WAAS approach first made available by JETTECH on the early model CJ aircraft. He said this opens many airport destinations that were only served with WAAS approaches.

In addition to the amended STC installation for ProLine 21 equipped CJs, JETTECH announced autopilot coupled LPV WAAS for the Cessna Citation Bravo, Ultra, Encore and Excel aircraft equipped with the Primus 1000 integrated avionics system. Also, JETTECH owns the STC install for the Garmin G600 and GTN 650/750 touchscreen series GPS for the Citation 500 series that includes WAAS approvals.
