Pilot Flight School Invests In A New Diamond Aircraft Fleet

One Of Europe's Largest Flight Schools Has Capacity For 400 ATP Students

Scandinavian Aircraft, the new Diamond Aircraft distributor in Norway, has signed a contract for seven new Diamond DA40 NGs with Pilot Flight School.

Pilot Flight School in Norway has quickly become one of Europe’s largest and most modern flight schools with 120 in-house ATP(A) students with a capacity and target of reaching 400 students in the next years.

The flight school is now changing their whole single engine fleet to new Diamond Aircraft DA40 NGs.  An order for the first seven aircraft has been signed, and the prospected growth of the school will lead to many further orders in the years to come.

Pilot Flight School introduced a new Diamond DA42 NG in their program one year ago, and it has been a fantastic success both operationally and financially. In the last year, they have flown the DA42 NG more than 800 hours in both summer, and the challenging winter conditions in Norway.

“Both students and instructors are very satisfied with the DA42 NG as an advanced, modern and easy handling aircraft, and with the amazing reliability and very low fuel- and maintenance cost, it is an all over winner,” says Frode Granlund, CEO at Pilot Flight School. “Our decision to change our whole fleet of single engine aircraft to Diamond DA40 NG was very easy based on our experience with the DA42 NG.”

"With the new fleet of Diamond Aircraft we are looking at a major cut in fuel costs, and also important is the availability of fuel. Another advantage that is not less important is the environmental benefits with less noise and less emission.
