Here's The Links To The Three Daily Airborne Episodes From Our Amazing NBAA 2012 Coverage!

ANN is pleased to have made it through the there tumultuous days of NBAA 2012 without a scratch (which has not always bneen the case... honest). We're even more pleased to revisit the three amazing episodes we webcast EVERY day of the convention...

Airborne at NBAA2012--10.30.12: TFR Tomfoolery, New Sovereign, Kestrel De-Ice

When it was announced that President Obama would be in Orlando the day before the official opening of the NBAA convention, we almost hoped he would be offering an apology to the industry.

We settled for an early exit by the President before things got really bogged down at the area’s airport. In addition to progress reports on the developing M2, Latitude, Longitude, Caravan and TTx programs, Cessna introduced a new version of its popular Citation Sovereign bizjet.

Kestrel Aircraft announced that Cox and Company has been chosen to supply the Ice Protection System for the Kestrel aircraft currently under development. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!

The opening general session for the 65th NBAA conference was designed to serve as a reminder to the attendees that the industry is vital to the national economy, with a slate of speakers invited to drive home that point.

Production is underway for the long-anticipated HondaJet, the company said in a news conference here in Orlando, Monday.

Eclipse CEO Mason Holland released new information and product details on the Eclipse 550 twin-engine jet and cockpit at their booth Tuesday afternoon. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!

Airborne at NBAA2012--11.01.12: Part 145 Worries, Nextant, Pelton Update

When it comes to the FAA’s proposed re-write of part 145 repair station rules, the avionics industry certainly has a lot of skin in the game.

At the NBAA conference Wednesday, AEA vice president for government and industry affairs, talked with ANN’s Jim Campbell about the industry’s position on the proposed new rules. Following the success of Nextant's 400XT re-manufacturing program, company CEO Ken Ricci said at the NBAA convention in Orlando that the company has its eyes on the next airplane to get the full makeover ... but he is unable to say just yet what airplane it will be.

EAA's Jack Pelton, who was recently named chairman of the board, and who has taken over the duties of CEO on an acting basis… told ANN at the NBAA convention that there will be some short-term and long-term changes coming for the organization. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
