NASA Seeking Undergraduate And Graduate Students

Three Opportunities For Qualified Students

NASA has put the word out it's seeking applicants for its undergraduate student research project, its graduate student researchers project, and its Aeronautics Fellowship. Applications are due in the next few weeks.

The undergraduate research project offers a 10- or 15-week research experience at a participating NASA center under the supervision of a NASA technical mentor. Two sessions are available, one in summer and one in fall.

Interested? You must be a full-time rising junior or senior during the Spring 2007 semester or quarter, pursuing an undergraduate degree, or have demonstrated course work concentration in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or physical or life sciences. Deadline for the summer session is January 31, 2007, and February 28, 2007, for the fall session.

Applications for NASA's graduate researchers project are due February 1, 2007. Through the program, which requires full-time enrollment and US citizenship, NASA awards fellowships for graduate study leading to research-based master's or doctoral degrees in science, mathematics and engineering fields related to NASA research and development. The program supports approximately 300 graduate students annually.

NASA's Aeronautics Fellowship is open to full-time graduate students who are US citizens and are enrolled in, or have been accepted by, an accredited master's degree program in aeronautical engineering or equivalent programs at accredited institutions of higher education. Applications are due February 1, 2007.
