American Eurocopter To Open Sales Office In Manhattan

To Be Located At Atlantic Aviation Metroport

One of the most popular ways of getting around New York City is by helicopter, and with that in mind, American Eurocopter is going where the potential customers are. The company annouced this week that it will open a dedicated helicopter sales office in New York City next month. This will be the only OEM sales office opened in the area and will be located in midtown Manhattan at the Atlantic Aviation Metroport.

“New York City and the northeast region is a burgeoning market for business and private aviation,” explained Kris DeSoto, American Eurocopter’s Regional Marketing Manager for the Northeast. “The Metroport receives a tremendous amount of traffic and it is a perfect location for us to promote our aircraft and arrange product demonstrations.”

“Eurocopter is one of the leaders in quiet technology and we are looking forward to having them as a tenant,” said Pat Wagner, General Manager Atlantic Aviation Metroport. “This is where the customer client that EC serves is maximized by having a presence at this location.” The Atlantic Aviation Metroport received approximately 21,000 landings in 2010 with around 60,000 passengers.

The Metroport serves over 90 individual operators and 120 aircraft. “It really is the hub of VIP and corporate helicopter traffic in the NYC area and we are looking forward to utilizing our new sales office to serve the customers in the northeast region,” continued Desoto.
