SpaceShip One Arrival Tentatively 1500 CDT

That's Three PM On Your Twelve Hour Clock

At a morning press briefing, EAA's Dick Knapinski said that the planned 1500 arrival of SpaceShipOne and White Knight remained 3:00, but warned that the time was tentative.

At this moment the historic aircraft/spacecraft team is on the ground in Madison, Wisconsin, about 20 or 30 flying minutes away from Wittman Field. The problem is that the summer thunderstorm cycle of the American midwest is in full cry; so if the best weather window opens sooner, or later, that's when the ship will fly.

After the craft lands and taxis in to the taxiway intersection at Aeroshell Square, the crew will board convertibles and parade up and down the flight line for the benefit of the public.

We've got a pilot's eye on the weather ourselves in the Aero-News on-site office. We should have enough notice to get photographers into position whatever happens, and we'll keep you updated in real-time.

If you can't be here in Oshkosh to see the farewell tour of the Smithsonian-bound X-Prize winner, the best place to be is right here online with Aero-News.
